Eviny innovation and development | Data-scientist, data-engineer, and developer | ONSITE Bergen, Norway, Europe. | Competitive salary.

Eviny is a clean energy company (hydro), with many subcompanies involved in electrification of different parts of society. Examples are shorepower to large ships, electrification of construction sites (e.g diggers), and charging of electric cars. These can all produce a lot of data, and we want to use this data to do things better.

We do everything from the actual collection of sensor data over modbus using raspberry pi's, ETL with spark, to machine learning, data analysis and modeling an ontology of equipment. We do cool stuff, it's hard, and we need good people!

Our team is ok with work-from-home part of the week, but want everyone to come in to the office regularly for coffe and chats. Knowledge of Norwegian is not important. Working in Norway has its perks, especially if you like the thought of a life outside work as well, maybe you have kids or want to be able to use our awesome nature. We care about work-life balance.

Relevant tech words are python, databricks, (py)spark, azure, event hub, terraform, docker, streamlit, scikit-learn, azure digital twins.

Northrop Grumman | Multiple Software & Hardware Engineering Roles | Full-Time (Some Part-Time) | All 50 U.S. States | Some Remote Options but Mostly Onsite | https://www.northropgrumman.com/careers/

Hi everyone, my name is Rich and I'm a Software Engineer at Northrop - not a recruiter or in HR. We have teams across the U.S. that work on some really interesting projects. For example, did you know Northrop Grumman was a prime contractor for the James Webb Space Telescope? We designed & developed the sun shield and also integrated the final spacecraft build. Check it out: https://www.northropgrumman.com/space/james-webb-space-teles...

We have jobs for all ranges of experience - from new grads to seasoned professionals. A lot of positions require a security clearance but there are a lot that don't so you can definitely find something that fits what you'd like or want to do. Can honestly say that I've personally learned a lot working here and had the chance to take training classes led by brilliant engineers.

I'm a longtime reader/lurker here on HN and would be happy to talk to anyone interested in working for NG. Feel free to reply with your contact info and I'll reach out as soon as I can.

Full disclosure: some jobs here have referral bonuses so if you see a job you match up with and feel like helping out a future co-worker, ping me about the position and let me give you a referral before you apply yourself. Don't have to, just if you're feeling nice. :)
