I'll always be a hobbyist first! I love FP development and have been chasing it wherever I can for the sheer fun of it. Professionally, I come from a NOC background and have spent the last two years building applications in ServiceNow.

I'm interested in taking on more challenging ServiceNow work or possibly branching out into a more FP-first environment. Scala 3, in particular, seems rather exciting now that it's finally here!

I have been employed in software development for almost 10 years and have written code for significantly longer. I am a deep specialist in databases and a good generalist in most other areas. I built myself as a T-shaped developer. I have worked databases, back-end, front-end (web and native, mobile and desktop) and testing throughout my time. With databases, I have experience with everything from relational algebra theory (I studied C.J. Date) to database design and normalization to query, procedure and index optimization. I have 10+ years of experience building and managing software projects. I thrive in roles where I can architect solutions, prototype, and bring ideas from concept to prototype to production.
