Hi,

I have over 20 years in the industry starting out as a Linux SysAdmin / Network Engineer and now doing more Systems / Low level Programming, R&D, and occasional DevOps.

Looking for opportunities involving low level / embedded systems / backend software development. Happy to also do automation / SysAdmin / DevOps as well. Although not my forte, I like to do robust automated testing / QA for software to ensure they meet (potentially undocumented) requirements.

I'm basically a jack of all trades with deep system and product design experience, who knows the web ecosystem and graphics programming pretty well, and can use LLMs for software development expertly (see my twitter for how I'm thinking in this space). I spent the early part of my career at early stage startups and have spent the past 8 years or so doing mostly greenfield projects on a contract basis. I've done a lot in the dev tools space, and with graphically intensive web applications (e.g. domain-specific CAD tools).

I'm working on some LLM infrastructure tooling that I designed and have partly built that I plan to commercialize so I'm looking for something pretty part time. I think I could be very useful on the right project, but I also have a lot of constraints on what I'm looking for (part-time, could be AI-related but won't sign restrictive contracts in that space). For a person/team that can be flexible on this kind of stuff definitely reach out, happy to talk! I'll consult for reasonable rates too if you want advice/second opinion/ideas/approaches for building AI products.

Hi there! Get in touch if you need an easy to work with and versatile lead iOS developer for your app or platform that needs good performance, slick user experience, and maybe some kind of AI. I'm a developer and cofounder (indie game) specializing in graphics optimization (Metal/OpenGL), real-time visualizations, and embedding ML models for on-device inference. Experience with LLM fine-tuning, vector search, and converting large models to compact on-device implementations. Led development of an App Store-featured app WikiNodes, and games with multiple awards. Recently built a word game system navigating 1.5M+ words with 110M+ relationships using Metal shaders at 60fps.
