Pipe | Backend or Fullstack Software Engineers | Remote (global, but SF/NYC wages) | Full-time

Pipe helps businesses grow by allowing them to sell future recurring revenue for cash today. We make a two sided marketplace for these revenue receivables (legally what we're doing is factoring).

For growing businesses: instead of selling equity (expensive, time consuming) or doing a debt round (expensive, time consuming) or getting other types of loans (expensive, time consuming), we plug in to your financial systems and underwrite you within 48 hours. As your revenues grow, we automatically adjust your trade limit. You always get the best price that the market is willing to provide for your revenue. Fast, easy, and no equity dilution.

Our team is currently about 25 engineers / 15 product+designers, and we're looking to bring on a few more key engineers on both the frontend and the backend. Right now we're focused on IC/Tech-lead shaped senior engineers; we have a healthy mix of experience levels on our current team, but would like to bring on more senior talent at the moment to help with a few key projects and expand our mentoring capabilities. Ideologically, we'd love to hire all types of engineers and be able to help them grow within the company, but right now we're too bandwidth constrained to hire for additional junior positions.

We use Postgres, Golang, Kubernetes, Hasura (Graphql), Next.js/React/Typescript. We are entirely remote and don't scale wages based on geography (disrespectful, unfair, archaic.) We pay strong US-based (NYC/SF) wages and have a philosophy of keeping the team relatively small so that we can all grow and have a large impact on the company's trajectory. We'd rather spend money on good tooling and processes than wasting it "hyperscaling" our team size.

* Fullstack job listing: https://pipe.com/job/5226345003

If you're interested, you can apply either through our jobs page or by emailing me directly (peter@pipe.com).

Saildrone | Multiple Roles | Onsite/Remote (US Only) | SF Bay Area (Alameda) | Full-Time | https://www.saildrone.com/

Saildrone is the world's leading collector of ocean related in situ data via uncrewed vehicle, above and below the sea surface. We work with governments, civic agencies, foundations, universities, and private companies around the globe to drive better information about our oceans and seas - be it sailing drones into the eye of hurricanes to obtain new scientific storm data, mapping out the ocean floor, collecting new CO2 data in hard-to-reach areas, counting biomass to establish fishing quotas, or detecting and stopping illegal fishing and drug trafficking.

Maybe you saw that we hucked a drone into a category 4 hurricane[1] last fall. Or maybe that we recently raised a $100M series C[2]. Or maybe you didn't see any of that, but you're still intrigued by the idea of autonomous, long endurance sailboats that help us better understand our planet.

Whatever the case, we're hiring for a breadth of different positions across our organization. In software, we're hiring for an Engineering Manager along with Machine Learning, Platform, DevOps/SRE, Hardware, and Vehicle engineers. Stacks vary from team to team, but we're looking primarily for folks with backgrounds in C++, Python, and/or JavaScript (Node, TypeScript, React). We're remote-friendly for certain positions, though require folks to be onsite for others.

In addition to software engineers, we're also hiring for a bunch of other positions across the company in production hardware engineering, and more!

You can see a list of open positions on our career page: https://www.saildrone.com/careers

Please apply through our career page; be sure to select "Other" and specify this HN post when asked how you heard about us!

Aquabyte | USA (SF, NYC) and Norway | Full Time | MechE, CV/ML, Data Science, Systems / Embedded | HYBRID, VISA https://jobs.lever.co/aquabyte/

Aquabyte (https://www.aquabyte.ai, Series B, backed by NEA and Costanoa, top tier investors) is on a mission to revolutionize the ocean sustainability and efficiency of aquaculture. By making fish farming cheaper and more viable than livestock production, we aim to mitigate one of the biggest causes of climate change and help prepare our planet for impending population growth. Aquaculture is the single fastest growing food-production sector in the world, and now is the time to define how technology is used to harvest the ocean for generations to come.

Through custom underwater cameras, computer vision, and machine learning we are able to quantify fish weights, detect sea lice infestations, and generate optimal feeding plans in real time. Our product operates at three levels: on-site hardware for image capture, cloud pipelines for data processing, and a user-facing web application. As a result, there are hundreds of moving pieces and no shortage of fascinating challenges across all levels of the stack.

See our full list of open roles at https://jobs.lever.co/aquabyte/ and learn more about Aquabyte at https://www.aquabyte.ai. Email jobs@aquabyte.ai if you have any questions!
