Technologies: I started as a network engineer and sysadmin, evolved into devops/SRE, currently more aligned with platform engineering and operations management. Specialized in on-prem and datacenters (bootstrapped a t2 solo), with HPC (NUMA on the brain) and other low-latency high-throughput applications. Currently very interested in learning the lower stack I didn't know before, such as building datacenters from scratch (construction, plumbing, mechanical) and learning more about power generation and electricity, as I see them becoming the "new datacenters" in the power dynamic. GNU/Linux focused. Able to build and lead excellent teams. Also able to think and operate at a C-suite/board level.

I've been a contributor to Firefox, Rust (stdlib & compiler), JavaScript/ECMAscript (language spec), Matrix (the protocol) and a few dozens of other applications and libraries. While this was largely accidental, I have code running on the device you're using read to this, a little bit in Earth orbit, and some on science-fiction devices :)

I have experience with desktop code, distributed code, backend code, some frontend, protocols, but also with setting up teams, working alongside management, product, marketing, legal. I've been involved in open-source forever, interacting with communities, presenting at conferences, writing technical and non-technical papers and blog entries, mentoring external contributors, ...

Looking for a position where I could work on something challenging, without destroying the world, ideally open-source or useful to society.

Hi, I'm an embedded systems engineer/architect bridging the full compute spectrum of ultra-low power IoT, edge systems, and HPC.

My latest projects have been in full-stack edge ML R&D, memory controller firmware dev for POWER servers, and chip bringup/testing for Z mainframes.

I'm passionate about modular synthesis and tinkering with all sorts of analog circuits and DSP. Currently upskilling in analog PCB design and refining my abilities in FPGA development. Also WIP on a 3D-printed robot arm to practice control systems and actuation.
