I'm a mostly backend engineer with lots of experience making REST APIs, data pipelines (streaming and batch), etc. I am comfortable with relational an non-relational dbs (pg/redis). I've been getting really acquainted with Rust the past couple years and finding a Rust role would be pretty cool. I'm also very interested in aerospace and would love to work with some stuff that flies. I'm a private pilot and pretty handy with CAD and some hardware manufacturing techniques.

Hi, I'm Chris.

I'm a hands-on software engineering leader with over 20 years experience who is passionate about creating powerful and usable software that betters the human condition.

I've jump-started multiple teams and products using the right mix of strategy, technology, and talent. I've worked with founders, product, and UX to refine their vision and establish a technology culture and architecture that delivered immediate value while preserving options for the future. Having implemented multiple early products with my own hands, I have also enjoyed incrementally evolving existing platforms and processes to be more impactful.

Check out my resume and website for details of the products I've helped launch, but they include a cancer patient / clinical-trial support app (as head of engineering) and patient- and provider-facing digital workflow tools including insurance pricing estimates (cited as a key asset in the $375M acquisition of a genetic testing company).

I'm seeking a leadership role such as founding engineer or head of engineering at an early stage company. I'd prefer a full time role but would consider consulting arrangements for salary and equity. I care deeply about and will work hard to grow both your product and the team that builds it.

  Location: Mountain View, CA
Remote: Yes, preferred (Onsite/hybrid also works; onsite could be awesome, too.)
Willing to relocate: Yes (Anywhere is great! Especially interesting appear to be: AZ, ID, MO, ND, OK, TX, UT)
Technologies: Python, Bash, SQL, GNU/Linux and associated utility basics, Pythonic ETL, basic HTML/CSS, Meta/Fb internal data tools
  Résumé/CV: https://danwolff.net/dw-resume-yc.pdf
  Email: danielyc@danwolff.net
OVERVIEW: My main experiences in industry have been in data at social media. I had a small background in design engineering before that. All the while, I have nursed a 15-year side-saga in logical communication interfaces.

WHAT I BRING: I have both big and startup tech experience. I have done consulting and FTE work, and love both. I have a significant driving passion for technology as a potential aid for people, particularly real hypertext as applicable to helping people through IA in the Otletian/Nelsonian/Engelbartian sense.

ALSO OPEN TO (FOR CLARITY): While my main background has been solidly data engineering, I am also very open to adjacent/interesting work. (For instance, someone once said that everyone should do software sales for a while, and while I would be green at it, I would be very open to considering ideas like this.)

STORY: Broad startup layoff within past month--energized about finding an awesome fit to help out!

I am currently enrolled in the Master of Engineering: Computer Science at the KU Leuven. I am specializing in Artificial Intelligence. In my Bachelor, my minor and major were Business Management and Computer Science. Since I will be graduating in the summer of 2023, I am seeking a post graduation opportunity. I like to be challenged while learning and discovering new things. For now, I do not have a preference to get into a specific field. Most importantly, I want to put my problem solving and analytical skills to good use.

Feel free to get in touch with me by sending me an e-mail or hitting me up on LinkedIn.

Hello! I am a software engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, more than 10 years of experience in the IT field and 10 professional certifications earned after a lot of study and hard work.

You can see several technologies in the above list but I personally prefer to work with anything related to the Rust Programming Language. AI? Backend? Blockchain? Compilers? DevOps? Embedded? Mobile? I am totally onboard as long as you have a little bit of Rust involved.

For more information, take a look at my CV (https://c410-f3r.github.io/curriculum.pdf) or my GitHub account (https://github.com/c410-f3r).
