Description: I started out as a Business Intelligence Consultant, which would help account for the weird mix of technologies, before moving to engineering and Front End Development. I've architected and deployed solutions for medium and large enterprises and lately I've been developing features for high growth SaaS. I'm versed in Backend development despite focusing on Frontend lately.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (February 2024)

Hi there, I'm Branko! I'm in search of a part time position (10-20 hours per week) in a small startup/SaaS where ideally I'd be doing a bit of everything, some kind of support engineer like position. I like interacting with and helping users, finding out what they're struggling with, and using that to help the team improve the product. For the last 4 years, I've been working as customer support specialist at a small productivity/to-do app SaaS. Besides helping users with all kinds of questions and issues, I've been writing guides for our help center, testing new features and as of recently fixing some bugs in the codebase and adding smaller features. I'm not looking to leave this position, but rather for another opportunity to learn more things and also help another team grow their product.
Recently I also launched a small SaaS for text analysis [1] that I wrote in React (used Vite, TailwindCSS, Jotai for state management, compromise and unified.js for NLP, Pocketbase for backend) and deployed via Docker on a VPS. It's far from perfect, and there are many more things to add, but I'm proud I managed to release an MVP.
Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Hi HN! I'm a Linux security engineer looking for work on Open Source software. I've done some security work in the Linux Kernel (containerization primitives), in systemd as well as some work on Secure Boot.Notably I've implemented auto-enrollment of secure boot keys in systemd. See (https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/20255 & https://lpc.events/event/16/contributions/1259/).
Lately, I've been very interested in MicroVMs and minimizing the Linux Kernel attack surface.
Message me if any of that sounds interesting!
