Salary expectations:

Established/Public/Profitable company: $700k+ TC

Pre-IPO, well funded company: $200k salary, options/RSU's with an expected value of > $2M if fully vested and the company IPOs

Early startup (seed or A round, under 20 HC): $180k salary, around 1% equity for IC or 3%+ for CTO.

I realize it's odd to be open to such a wide range of positions, but I am not very ambitious and I what I really enjoy is being part of a strong team and building things, regardless of the official role I am in.

I was last a tech lead and early technical contributor in a startup that created an autonomy solution in the energy/oil/gas sector (mostly dealing with industrial robotics). The startup was successful and led to a successful exit. I was the primary author of our decision support engine, which performed real time optimization that controlled machinery whose motion had to be planned at remote edge sites, while humans in the loop supervised the system in a global operations center. I was also somewhat of a generalist, putting together a large portion of the system's end to end architecture, evolution, and successful integration into our new parent company's software and hardware stacks.

Before that I worked on various types of object detection/vision systems that required various types of statistical signal processing (Sonar, Radar, LIDAR, etc). I'm very comfortable with diverse software engineering, IoT, embedded systems, hpc, machine learning, numerical and statistical work.

Been taking some time off since the start of the pandemic, but now eager to pursue interesting work!

Interested in: generalist senior IC, management positions in the right setting, technical architect, ML Eng, MLOps, and other types of deeply technical roles.
