We launched CakeDeals (http://www.cakedeals.com) last October. We are still in beta.
The idea is very simple. With the crazy amount of daily deal sites popping up every week, it is getting extremely difficult for users to keep track. We do the heavy lifting for our users by bringing all the daily deals from 20+ sites per city into a single page (or email). We have great features coming up to help user manage their coupons, discover deals, share deals etc. We are competing with sites like Yipit.

This is the problem that civiside.com is solving. "We help veterans search beyond the job board". We have been very successful in getting companies to sign up for the Guaranteed Interview Program http://www.civiside.com/guaranteed_interview but we need press attention to make more employers aware of what we are doing. In addition to the GI Program, we are helping veterans by enabling their family, friends, and supporters to tap the networked job market. Finally, we have just added the former VP of Biz Dev., and the former Director of Marketing at military.com to our team, therefore adding much needed experience and muscle to our efforts.
Veterans are at a disadvantage in finding work after they leave the military...this should not be and we have a solution for it. Help us help veterans.
