#113Airtable's mission is to democratize software creation by enabling anyone to build tools that meet their unique needs. Unlike single-purpose apps, we think of Airtable as a toolkit of building blocks that people repurpose to create their own applications. The best-known part of our product is a real-time, collaborative database, but we have layered automations and user-defined interfaces on top of that foundation, enabling our users to create full-fledged applications on top of our platform.
We're hiring software engineers for web (JavaScript + TypeScript, Node, React), iOS (Objective-C, Swift), and Android (Java, Kotlin), as well as data engineering, data science, SRE, and many other roles.
We're a team with diverse backgrounds. We believe in the power of highly motivated and capable individuals to accomplish great things in small teams, with end-to-end ownership of projects and rapid iteration.

[COVID-19: Our offices are open, with safety protocols in place. We are encouraging teams to choose one in-office day per week for face-to-face collaboration. We also provide dedicated desks for employees who prefer to work in the office more frequently. However, we also permit employees to continue working out-of-office full-time for any reason. Employee safety is our top priority.]

#118Saildrone is the world's leading collector of ocean related in situ data via uncrewed vehicle, above and below the sea surface. We work with governments, civic agencies, foundations, universities, and private companies around the globe to drive better information about our oceans and seas - be it sailing drones into the eye of hurricanes to obtain new scientific storm data, mapping out the ocean floor, collecting new CO2 data in hard-to-reach areas, counting biomass to establish fishing quotas, or detecting and stopping illegal fishing and drug trafficking.
Maybe you saw that we hucked a drone into a category 4 hurricane[1] last fall. Or maybe that we recently raised a $100M series C[2]. Or maybe you didn't see any of that, but you're still intrigued by the idea of autonomous, long endurance sailboats that help us better understand our planet.
Whatever the case, we're hiring for a breadth of different positions across our organization. In software, we're hiring for an Engineering Manager along with Machine Learning, DevOps/SRE, Embedded Linux, Platform, and Hardware Test Engineers. Stacks vary from team to team, but we're looking primarily for folks with backgrounds in C++, Python, and/or JavaScript (Node, TypeScript, React). We're remote-friendly for certain positions, though require folks to be onsite for others.
In addition to software engineers, we're also hiring for a bunch of other positions across the company in production/manufacturing, hardware engineering, and more!
You can see a list of open positions on our career page: https://www.saildrone.com/careers
Please apply through our career page; be sure to select "Other" and specify this HN post when asked how you heard about us!

#119Annual emissions from U.S. fleet-operated fossil-fuel cars and trucks:
* contribute ~1Gt CO2e, or 2% of the world's total GHG emissions [1]
* kill ~10,000 people [2]
We can save lives and abate climate change by replacing these vehicles with clean equivalents. Our team writes software that plays a key role in deploying clean vehicles and new renewable electricity generation at large scale. [3] We need:
* Software engineers (especially front-end or full-stack): https://jobs.nexteraenergy.com/job/San-Francisco-Senior-Soft...
* Engineering Managers: https://jobs.nexteraenergy.com/job/San-Francisco-New-Product...
Join us! I'm the hiring manager; you can reach me directly at samuel.penrose at nexteraenergy.com We are remote-first with a great San Francisco office where we gather quarterly (-> occasional travel required).

#120Jawa is the community-driven marketplace for gamers. We've been operating for a year, just raised seed financing, and are looking to hire a full-stack engineer to join our small team and scale up the platform.
We're a mostly-Typescript shop: our stack currently includes Next.js, React, MySQL, Express, and Heroku. There's a lot more to build, and we're looking for someone that's both pragmatic and interested in making opinionated architectural decisions. Bonus points if you're into gaming (or gaming PC hardware in particular)!

We're also hiring a Chief of Staff: https://jawagg.notion.site/Chief-of-Staff-6ad729fcc45943b3a1... and Lead Growth Marketer: https://jawagg.notion.site/Lead-Growth-Marketer-fdf4d4f6d133....
