Fast learner, self motivated, love challenging problems that really stretch my knowledge. If I had to point to a weakness it’s that I’m mostly self-taught with very little regard given to industry lingo and acronyms. I can learn, but will need some plain English explanations of what you want to start with. I’m a DIY type with lots of gumption.

Edit: Typo

I have dual hatted as a network engineer and product manager for years on client facing engagements. Have been involved in occasional side engagements specific to security. Life science geek on the side.

Looking for a new role as I prepare to make some life changes. No issue with relocation. Trying to stay on the West Coast if possible, but am open to other possibilities. Remote is okay too.

My name is Evan Morgan, I am a recent MSc student from OSU Biomedical Informatics program, where I learned quite a bit of data science/analysis. Now I an looking for a junior/ entry level opportunity to break into industry, whatever that may be so long as there is heaps of data.

I just finished my thesis analyzing meta-log files of patient use to cluster users and correlate to disease outcomes. This entailed lots of statistical testing and plotting, dimensional reduction and clustering, and basic machine learning/ statistics.
