Software engineering generalist with strong product sensibilities. I've worked as a PM, front-end engineer, and most recently as a back-end engineer building features for a distributed tracing product. Technology agnostic. I am mostly interested in engineering lead or product management roles.

I'm very much enjoying optical flow research. If I could freely choose, my goal would be to create algorithmic features with known and well-behaved likelihood distributions by training AI components and then analyzing, understanding, and re-implementing them using explicit functions.
Earlier this year, I was leading Sintel Clean EPE matched with my H-v3 attempt - which sadly still included lots of black box AI for ambiguity resolution, but at least it was based on handcrafted linear filters to create the feature space. I'm hoping to release my next attempt in January, but as a hobby, competing alone against FAANG teams is kind of unwieldy ;)
I'm fortunate to be remote CTO for a US company, so there's no hurry. But I'd be very curious to look into selfie drones or self-driving cars :) And I would be willing to free up 2-3 days per week to explore job opportunities there. So I guess I'm looking for a remote & senior & part-time AI/ML research position, if such a thing exists.
In case that's useful, I also have experience in related areas like Unreal Engine / Houdini for data set generation or 3D printing / SfM / Photogrammetry / Satellite processing for measuring things.

ABOUT: Software Engineer with 1.5+ years experience working in Research and Development Laboratory, currently working on L-4 Autonomous Vehicle System. I have a desire to move out of research and more into something more product or SAAS centric. I'm always willing to learn new tech stacks and face new challenges. I work nearly all in Python these days, but with some C++. I am currently taking a variety of Master’s classes in Machine Learning, and SQL, NoSQL and AWS technologies. I have worked as a Full stack Engineer in the past, building small internal websites with .NET backends. I'm only considering full-time opportunities at some cool places. Reach out if you have any questions or opportunities that you should like to talk about. Thanks! And have a great rest of your day.

I have been a software engineer for over five years now, and have also been responsible for multiple software projects from their conception all the way to their validation with the end users. As I have worked on numerous projects in various roles and with different partners over the last years, I have honed my organizational and soft skills, and I’m capable of working independently while at the same time being able of collaborating with colleagues and clients.
