I've been programming for 30+ years, starting as a kid. Currently a technical product management director at a large public company, but looking to move to a individual contributor role at a small-ish company (between 40-200 employees). Prefer part-time.

I've worked at every level: launching a startup from scratch, bringing up new hardware boards, writing firmware, full stack web development, and building PaaS.

I operate with very high autonomy: you can point me an ambiguous project, tell me the speed/quality tradeoff you want (e.g. rapid PoC or production-grade deployment) and I will figure out who to work with, what needs to be done to get all the way into production, and then actually do it.

The ideal role would allow me to do actual work, meaning either heads-down development or working sessions with other engineers, at least 90% of the time.

I've been making websites for over 20 years, initially in plain HTML, then PHP, Javascript, Angular, React, Typescript and NodeJS. I like SQL for the back end but I've also used MongoDB. I'm looking for senior roles, where I can work alongside more junior developers and be involved in the system architecture and development processes. Recently I've mostly been working mostly with Typescript, both for NodeJS back ends and React front ends. I've also been working with Java for desktop and CLI tools.

Hi, I am Rafael, a nomading full stack engineer from Switzerland. I have over 12 years of experience across a multiple industries (gaming, hardware, SaaS, ...) and company sizes (Fortune 500 to less than 10 people startup). I describe myself as a passionate software generalist with architecture and social skills, designing solutions from idea/whiteboard to production deployment, while also being able to lead and mentor teams.

I have taken a year off working to focus on obtaining a pilot license and personal tech projects, keeping my skills current. I am now looking for a gig, either contract or full time, 100% remote (I am fine traveling a few times per year), ideally for a startup with an interesting product.

I am also offering consulting work. If what you are looking for is a one-off job, I am happy to deliver a complete slice with documentation and handover to the permanent team.

Happy to discuss opportunities, answer questions or send you my full CV via e-mail.

I've been doing backend work for the past 13 years, with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework. I'm intimately familiar with schema and data migrations, including migrations between Django projects. I've done a lot of full-stack work as well, with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and React.js. I've worked extensively with startups and I've worked with Twitter. I have a lot of experience working with distributed teams and am open to occasional travel. Available full (~30hrs) or part time. Interested in Python work or full-stack with Python.

Relocation: Case-by-case

I'm a CTO, expert engineer, and data professional interested in team-building, consulting and architecting data pipelines. At Edmunds.com, I worked on a fairly successful ad-tech product and my team bootstrapped a data pipeline using Spark, Databricks, and microservices built with Java, Python, and Scala.

At ATTN:, I re-built an ETL Kubernetes stack, including data loaders and extractors that handle >10,000 API payload extractions daily. I created SOPs for managing data interoperability with Facebook Marketing, Facebook Graph, Instagram Graph, Google DFP, Salesforce, etc.

More recently, I was the CTO and co-founder of a gaming startup. We raised over $6M and I was in charge of building out a team of over a dozen remote engineers and designers, with a breadth of experience ranging from Citibank, to Goldman Sachs, to Microsoft. I moved on, but retain significant equity and a board seat.

I am also a minority owner of a coffee shop in northern Spain. That I'm a top-tier developer goes without saying. I'm interested in flexing my consulting muscle and can help with best practices, architecture, and hiring.

Would love to connect even if it's just for networking!
