Résumé: Hi! I'm a Technical Product Manager (3-year experience), with a background in ML (1 1/2-year experience, plus a couple of internships in Deep Learning).

I've got a very horizontal skillet — in that I'm equally happy to read ML papers, design components in Figma, run UX tests with users or write a bit of code. I'm a 0-1, hands-on type of PM, most comfortable crafting things and working in small organisations where having multiple roles is valuable.

I launched several features from scratch (while coding and designing a good chunk), including one that started as a pilot and became a major feature within the core product, leading to a publication in a top-tier academic journal. Led my own small team within the Product department and multiple squads.

Spent the bulk of my career in healthcare/life sciences and creative/entertainment industries. Currently under a (negotiable) non-compete agreement that prevents me from working in healthcare for 18 months, but happy to explore other fields as well. Not interested in a finance/insurance position.

Technologies: the usual Product stack, design & creatives suites (Figma, Photoshop), Python (eager to learn more languages) for ML (sklearn, PyTorch), analytics (Jupyter, Pandas and the usual stat libs) or web frameworks (Django), Docker.

Email: tonal.dates.0l [at] icloud [dot] com.

CV: on request.

Thanks a lot! And happy new year everyone!

Graduated with BS in CS last month (December '23). Prior to returning to school full-time, spent 4+ years in product operations (bug identification/tracking, incident response, support documentation/training) at a large SaaS company.

Technical interests lean toward servers and systems: backend development, DevOps/SRE/Cloud-flavored positions, etc. I also enjoy writing good docs, codifying/improving internal processes, and automating away the pain of others.

Looking for a place with a great mentorship culture where I can hit the ground running. Happy to relocate pretty much anywhere for the right opportunity.

I have 10y+ of experience in robotics and consumer electronics, with the last 4ish years spent in the autonomous vehicles space working on Linux kernel dev. I'm looking for senior/staff+ roles and willing to consider other industries. Experience in realtime, low latency systems with millions of lines of code, as well as professionally contributing to open source projects.
