You can find numerous subreddits with tips and "life hacks" like this, stuff your grandmother knew. Doesn't seem like HN material.

#15Write 'bottom left', 'top left', etc. with a Sharpie on the corners of your fitted sheet to make it quick and easy to put on the bed.
Is there top and bottom left on those? I thought they were rectangles, so either end could be at either end. There is usually inside and outside on stitching.

They are rectangles, not squares so it is possible (and very annoying) to try to fit it side to side when it should be end to end.
