1) no idea, but... 2) possible reason is not just to hack I.A. itself, but also to gain notoriety by hacking something both publicly known and not as well funded as a bank or government or whatnot

Except people think you’re not only a lame and incompetent hacker that can’t hack anything well funded but also a real piece of shit for hacking what is essentially a struggling public resource people love.

Still better than being a total unknown, in certain attention-seeking mindsets.

I have been down quite a few rabbit holes recently regarding trump and his ties to saudi arabia, and one thing that I constantly run into is corrupted archive data in articles about either Mohammad Bin Salman or Al Waleed bin Talal Al Saud. Now I'm more convinced than ever that Saudi Arabia has some sort of hand in this.

Believing 100% without skepticism are bad way to get the conclusion. * Are you sure it is pro palestinian org ? * Are you sure that org not a puppets created by the Publisher who hated IA ? So many possible questions.

this account has claimed responsibility, although not verified: https://x.com/Sn_darkmeta

And besides donating money what else can we do to help them (IA)? Make more archivers? Distributed? IPFS? How to ensure content integrity/trust?

good questions.
