#15In a moment of weakness I bought a soldering iron and this kyria kit [0] and soldered my own. I promise it sounds more crazy than it is and I've been very happy with it. [0]: https://splitkb.com/collections/keyboard-kits/products/kyria...

#18https://ergodox-ez.com/ It is my first some keyboard and I still love it as much as when I first got it. There was definitely a learning curve, but it was worth it.

#19The build quality on my home K8 is perfect.
The work K8 was purchased several months (perhaps a year?) after the home one and the build quality is significantly less good than my home K8. The keyboard feels different (both have Gateron Browns) and the printing on the keycaps is crooked. I've also had a couple keys stop working, but banging on the keyboard seems to fix them for a while.
So, I'm not buying any more Keychrons, because I don't know what's going on over there.
