Do you want to help transform manufacturing? We are building the best team in the industry to bring consumer-grade user experiences to a space dominated by ancient enterprise technology. Our platform enables our customers to create apps without code and to connect their apps to machines, sensors and smart tools. Comm | engineering | NYC onsite | https://comm.app

We're a startup based in NYC working on a decentralized, self-hosted messaging platform for communities based on federated keyservers.

Our long-term goal is to build an alternative to the centralized application server model that dominates Web2. Sophisticated apps (like Discord) need a backend, but today those backends are controlled by corporations. Our solution is to replace the cloud with a network of personal, private application servers (we call them “keyservers”).

We’re looking to hire a designer and several engineers. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401K match, on-site lunches, free MacBook Pro, and great team culture. Compensation is very competitive, especially for a startup.

We recently signed the term sheet for our $5m seed round led by CoinFund, which will bring our total funding up to $7m. We've previously raised from over 60 investors, including VC firms such as Slow Ventures, Electric Capital, Eniac Ventures, and scouts from Sequoia, Lightspeed, Index, and others.

We have a very strong team of 10 devs actively contributing to our codebase, including 5 here in NYC. Our tech stack includes modern React, React Native, C++, Rust, and AWS.

Job descriptions are available at http://comm.careers. You can learn more about us at http://comm.page.

If this sounds interesting please reach out to ashoat@comm.app.

• Site Reliability Engineers

• Data Scientist

• Senior Frontend Engineer

• Lead Architect

• Frontend Engineers

For more information go to our Talent page: www.justwatch.com/us/talent

We don't have any non-technical product management and like it that way. Our development philosophy balances fast hacking with a solid architectural foundation.

We are a self-funded and profitable start-up, founded in 2014 in Berlin and currently employing around 100 great people with diverse backgrounds. If you're into great code architecture, like to (continuously) deliver production code and actually help build a product bringing value to tens of millions of monthly users - let us know. For more on how we work, our culture, values, and engineering practices, be sure to check out our blog.

We are not looking for a perfect CV, we just want to know who you are and what challenge you'd be excited about. We are working with Nodejs / Vue.js / Ionic / Capacitor / Typescript / GraphQL stack for both our web and mobile apps - while our micro-service backend architecture is written in Go and runs on Kubernetes.

Our webapp is SSR that requires more care and love than a normal SPA. Knowledge of best practice for core web vitals is also a big plus.

We developed our TV app with React Native. We are currently migrating our Mobile app to React Native that means Ionic and capacitor will soon to be gone.
