Is it time for your website or app to get a modern and high performance redesign? I'm a web developer and designer who can deliver custom website and landing page designs that get top page speed scores.
In my 10+ years of experience, I've assisted global companies like Just Eat and Triumph Motorcycles, created my own commercially successful web apps and completed a PhD from Edinburgh University so you can rely on me to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
See https://www.seanw.org for my portfolio, client endorsements and more on my background.

The best live example of my work is Checkbot for Chrome (https://www.checkbot.io/), a website auditor browser extension that checks sites for SEO, speed and security web problems. The whole project is my own work including the app, fast loading website, graphic design, web best practices guide (https://www.checkbot.io/guide/) and UX.

#3This might be a weird one. I'm looking for a flexible, experienced full-stack developer to maintain my set of 4-5 personal projects while I continue to work on my startup. Most of these projects are low traffic and only need a bug fix or small new feature, but there's also one with complex JS and a significant following. I'm paying for this work personally.
Looking for someone with 5+ years of experience with Python/Django and JS, with some TS experience as well; able to think independently and make good code architecture decisions; and ideally able to make not-terrible UX decisions, but that's not a requirement. As I'm working on a startup full-time, you must occasionally be willing to explore possible solutions on your own and present synthesized options when there's uncertainty.
In return, I'm willing to pay a high market hourly rate, and you can have total flexibility over how many hours per week you work. Want to take a few weeks off? Sure! From my perspective, the engagement will still be a net win over the zero hours I'm able to put in. Want to work 30 hours a week for several months? Also great! One of the projects has an arbitrarily long roadmap.
Please email bitrot@gmail.com if you're at all curious and let's chat.

#4Are you an eco‑conscious business looking for print or web design services?
I'm a graphic designer who treats sustainability as a core principle of my creation process.
- I work for businesses that want to improve the carbon footprint of their websites and print designs.
- I design to reduce energy and resource usage e.g low footprint website designs, print designs that minimise ink usage.
---
Services:
- Eco-conscious website design e.g. responsive mobile/desktop designs that are lightweight and fast (website development can be arranged)
- Green branding e.g. logo design, branded social media banners, posters, booklets
- Sustainable print design e.g. posters, booklets & business cards, that have optimized material & ink usage
- Eco-friendly custom illustrations e.g. digital/vector/bitmap artwork, print illustrations

From 2005 until 2015 I ran my own development company. Since 2015 I’ve been using that experience to help companies and development teams take ‘the next step’. The next step in delivering higher quality products, the next step in gaining higher developer velocity and the next step in being a more predictable in planning and outcome.
I strongly believe the following factors help in taking this next step: 1. Never compromise in code quality. 2. Standardize as much as possible (to prevent reinventing the wheel and focus on adding value) 3. Automate everything 4. Create a safe to fail environment.

#10Highly experienced VP of Engineering & Cloud Architect.
Skills:
* Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) - From 22K+ live cloud stacks, to GPU-based infrastructure automation for MedTech companies. I've done my fair share of cloud infrastructure work (Terraform/CloudFormation/Autoscaling/Kubernetes).
* Serverless (Framework, AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions)
* NodeJS/Meteor/SailsJS
* Go
* Crypto/Blockchain - building Crypto infrastructure (multiple Blockchains), customized libraries and APIs, as well as front-end (MetaMask) solutions.
* Wordpress/CodeIgniter/Yii/Drupal (Components, Hacks, Themes) - less motivated, unless truly cutting edge (or WP VIP projects)
* CI & Unit testing - Jenkins, Mocha & Karma for JS, Toast for PHP, as well as Selenium
* Django (general Python too) - to a lesser extent
Seeking: Challenging projects. Most recently worked on Cloud architecture, GPU-based infrastructure, Serverless & AWS APIs, cloud-related prototypes.
Example work: Upon request
