I make a real fact-checking effort. In this case, the developer (Godier) sent me a video of the app in action. It’s a real app. He couldn’t send me a TestFlight to run (he said) because TestFlight submissions are taking a week or longer to get approved. Obviously what I did wasn’t enough, but trust me, I try.

No - really - my question here is an important one.

If you did not ask for the rejection letter - that would indicate that you didn't even do the most basic checking to determine the facts.

And that would seriously color your statement above "Trust me, I try."

I hope you answer.

Reminds me of politicians and public figures saying they got "hacked" after doing/posting something stupid and getting backlash for it. I guess "AI did it" is the new iteration on that.

My favorite was the congresscritter who held a press conference complaining that Google was returning obscene links to ordinary queries.

He didn't understand that Google was remembering his own past searches, and self-owned on camera. Turns out his wife and kids were more performative than interest-based.

You might be underestimating the kind of conversation going on between investors, CEOs and board members.

Companies are losing investment because they're not positioning themselves as AI-centric or having AI features.

This is happening across every sector I'm familiar with: productivity software, music software, HR software, enterprise documentation, learning software, developer tools.

This is not someone getting enthusiastic about the OpenAI API back in the day, this is literally companies fighting for investment money by tackling AI into their product.
