Good question. The issue is probably more subtle: are the intended management controls working and doing their job?

When I was a dev, I didn't find the marketers greedy. I did note that they seemed to have an insatiable desire to feed management's greed. But they themselves were not. That, and they seemed incapable of accepting any solution that didn't appear to have icing on top or a clever hook to it. It really is unfortunate that both marketers and management are largely fixated on the style of LLM assistance and not the substance.

If you spend your time on the wrong things you could spend 90 hours per week hurting your company producing negative value.

The age old problem of prioritization doesn’t go away just because the org starts throwing millions at Anthropic.

Proofed by the innumerable random unnecessary UI changes by YouTube, Discord, Spotify, etc. It's like they want to be able to tell share holders "we released 100k updates to our users this quarter" and the share holders don't really care what those changes were. Borderline shareholder fraud imo.
