Friend of mine (who's running ice-cream shop, in Poland is much different than in us), a lot of regulation, labels, food and safety, a lot of production problems with calculating POD/PAC (sugar in the ice creams which tells you how they gonna freeze up), he told me once: there is no single app that solves mine particular problem at scale.

So i've build it: https://scooply.app/ it has not only ice cream production software, but loyalty card (no app install required, all online), managing screens which are you menu above the shop counter, baking module and a lot of stuff.

I doubt that any of you is accually making craft ice creams, but if someone has, let me know!

Second project is: I got tired of paying for cleanshotx and missing features in shottr - and i've build my own https://lovelyscreenshots.com/

Interesting to see the distribution of projects here. For people building something with the intention of eventually making it a business: what was the strongest evidence that the problem was worth pursuing before you started building? I'm especially interested in cases where the initial idea changed substantially after talking to users.

A friend of mine is getting quite serious about his ice-cream making, so I've sent him scooply. Looks neat :)

I'm polishing my new VR games (Meta Quest). Actually they're just rewritten versions of my older games (one Soccer and one Basketball), but now focused on international tournaments with updated gameplay and graphics. I have no licensing for the player names and tournament names are also not fully real for same reason. I don't expect big traffic, due to plenty of other games that are far better, but the process of making is really enjoyable :)

Privacy & Security with self-hosted LLMs! You have dreamed of this too?

Today you you can self-host some models, yet this does not mean you can safely browse the web with it, and automate tasks that would interact with your email account, your bank account and your clients.

This is the reason why I left Mozilla, to work full-time on fixing these problems.

Prompt-injection, hallucinations and private information leakage might not be fixable, but they can be identified 100% of the time, deterministically, before any undesirable consequences.
