I use FHEM ( https://fhem.de/ ) to automate my home. Its written in Perl and a bit dated, but it's small and connects with everything I have. Plus it includes a MQTT server.

Me too, but with mixed results. In the last weeks, results from DDG or Bing appear later or even never. That make Searx not very reliable at the moment.

You can use the go implementation of wireguard (wireguard-go). This way you don't need a kernel module. Works for me on a really cheap OpenVZ VPS since months.
