Pijul is not a reimplementation of darcs, it's based on a new theory, without the performance drawbacks of darcs. Btw, rewriting darcs would really feel like reinventing the wheel.…

Actually, that feedback was one of the motivations to continue working on it, even though a complete rewrite was needed, for many reasons.
