Sounds like Wireless CarPlay lag. I've experienced it a few times. They should really fix it. Wired CarPlay is great!

At this point it's very easy: no CarPlay, no buy. So no Tesla (obv), no Rivian.

I use DNS-level blocking and audit, a bit like Pi-hole, but as a commercial service I can use anywhere. Definitely blocks a lot of trackers, but probably not all.
