Completely agree with this. Open weight models are getting close to matching the best closed models from OpenAI and Anthropic.

XML is just so much hassle to parse securely, and it is extremely difficult to get right.

This makes me sad to see this. The economic implications of this is catastrophic and unfortunately people who are in the middle of warzones get squeezed and suffer from famines.

That is kind of what I was thinking too, and cross-compilation is still the fastest way to build for a different target.
