    its debt cycles that one should really watch...check out Ray Dalio's "How The Economic Machine Works"...there's a video and a paper...the paper is much more informative.

    I don't think we necessarily "need" lending for consumption, we like it. We like being able to buy a house when we only have 10% to put down...same thing goes for a car...or a tv..…
