You're only allowed to use .caf, .aif, or .wav files.

Ask YC: Do you know how to cut down a .caf file?

We just released an iPhone app that's 2.2mb. We're trying to cut down the audio .caf (.5mb now) to make it more efficient. Any ideas?

Seems like Video Egg and Pinch Media are meant for established high volume traffic players. AdMob is more for true startups.

I hear you, so much to do, so little time. That's why I said your app is dangerous. People can easily sit there for a while going through the rumor mill instead of coding:)

I do like their tone so I have written them. I just find it a bit disappointing that these ad networks expect you to sign up without knowing what the advertising rates are.

    Ask YC: Mac Text Editors

Is it worth paying for Textmate or can I find a free one that will do, like TextWrangler? I'm just starting to learn how to code so I think my needs are pretty basic.

Also what do you guys think timing wise for an acquisition? It's moving at a far slower pace than I thought, though with such huge companies, I shouldn't be so surprised.

Ask YC: Would you stay at Yahoo or would you go now?

If you were a Yahoo employee (I'm not), you would leave now or stick it out until there's an acquisition? Is it likely for you to get a severance package offering or is that only i…

Not focusing on how you feel socially inept goes a long way. People will cut you some slack if you cut yourself some.
