A good one I have used is the roads and transport idea. You do not build roads to travel you just use shared infrastructure when you need it same way cloud works.

$300/hr does not sound cheap for coding it sounds cheap if clients are paying for deep experience reliability and business understanding on top of the code.

This actually makes more sense than traditional cofounder matching. Most people just want someone to build with first.

Nice to see a maintenance release focused on real regressions. The fair sched fix alone is pretty important.

I miss the old look what someone built vibe too. There is still good stuff in Show HN threads but it does take more digging now than it used to.

For me it took a few weeks I mostly started by sharing in relevant online communities and just talking about the problem before pushing the product itself.

I think the key is to stay respectful but also ask for clarity. A lot of conflict comes from undocumented rules not bad intent even is it feels that way.

If you are already building it and would actually use it yourself thats a strong signal. I did focus on getting real users first before making a full leap.
