I think you should be able to get away with using macOS. Most tools you’ll need are for Unix systems anyway. If you were on Windows, that would be a different story.

Omega’s advances, as well as the Olympic Broadcasting Service who provides all the live feeds and graphics, is absolutely astounding.

The only reason I say this is because it appears it does actually have to download back onto your device. So I'm not totally sure.
