About johannkrugell
After years in management accounting, reporting, and analysis, I kept observing the same pattern. Businesses either pay substantial amounts for feature-heavy project management tools, or stick with Excel because the alternatives don't align with their budget or actual needs. Per-seat pricing creates a tension between giving people access to information and managing costs.
So I built PlanHQ (https://planhq.tech/) - straightforward project management with flat-rate pricing that doesn't scale costs with team size.
I'm still doing finance work, but increasingly exploring solutions to the coordination challenges I've seen create friction across different organizations. My background in financial analysis and process automation shapes how I approach building software that fits how projects actually operate.
I solve problems by understanding the underlying financial and operational challenges, then working toward practical solutions - whether through analysis, automation, or software.
