I’ve noticed teams don’t replace engineers, they redistribute work. Senior engineers often gain leverage while junior roles shift toward tooling and review.

One issue with benchmarks is they often optimize for narrow tasks. Real-world performance usually depends more on data pipelines and latency than raw scores.

Curious how much of this is real displacement vs diversification. Hyperscalers still seem heavily dependent on Nvidia for training workloads.
