Hi! How have you tried to reach us? We have an open task to consider using something like cartes.app as a web "version" of CoMaps. https://codeberg.org/comaps/url-processor/issues/…

I've been editing OSM since 2015 and contributing to FOSS OSM apps for about half that, there have been conflicts or special cases in the past but edits on StreetComplete, OsmAnd, …

Every version of Organic Maps and CoMaps (and probably to some extent OsmAnd) use slightly different formats of maps; consider a new feature to support park bench backrests/colors/…

A.T. is extremely trail oriented including user-submitted routes and reviews, but it may miss some less popular raw OSM-based paths. OSM based apps like OsmAnd and CoMaps just disp…

I think Uber might use OSM, but might not update very often, or might use different logic than other apps

It's the Kayak referral links on hotel POIs, which some people consider ads

    How does Apple accept donations?

I don't think there was an opt-in, at least at first. The Kayak links were there and they had a generic OM referral code attached so they got the credit

M.E. is closed source and some would argue somewhat enshittifying

This isn't true, I don't know any FOSS OSM apps that have any approval process.

It's all user submitted. It takes someone caring enough to fix it, to make it work. Check out StreetComplete, Every Door, Vespucci, and/or CoMaps to help add/fix data

On top of the OsmAnd user experience being a little rough (it can do a lot, but not gracefully) it relies on accurate OSM data underneath. So the best thing to do is at least make …
