This is interesting but I would prefer to see some native Swift libraries for Data Science.

I didn't see that coming, very disappointing news. Definitely a loss for Apple and Swift. I really hope he will somehow stay involved with the project.

Kind of underwhelming in my book. Where is SQL support (promised over a year ago in Google I/O 2010) and what about Java-Python feature parity?
