I am just wondering if MCP is just to difficult a standard for the value proposition when skills are doing so well at just using REST apis.

When people talk about running things like claude code on local models (Qwen3.5 30b) they miss that teh context window problem is only being solved by large models like anthropic.

I really think senior devs and architects that really know what they are doing are going be in heavy demand.

I like the idea, like someone to talk it over with. Issue is people probably want to know that the questions they are asking dont get seen.
