Would be awesome if advertisers can tap into this information. Show ads / discounts to people for products they actually want and haven't already purchased.

You could always run AdWords traffic to a blog talking about how awesome Dropbox is and include the affiliate link there.

Great idea! Super clean design, does a good job of explaining what the product does. Definitely fills a gap in the marketplace.
