You could use Every Door — a bit harder to learn, but more powerful too. MapComplete is a web app, so it should work.

They can! That's a different process called importing, and people do that a lot. For example, I've imported all of Walmarts in the US a few years ago by request. See OSM wiki on im…

I should add that when you add or edit a bench in Every Door, it shows the backrest and the material attributes at the top. So hundreds of benches in my area have these mapped :)

In the 3.0 version (out in a week, beta already on the github) you can zoom out to level 4 I think. And searching is on the roadmap.

    I think https://organicmaps.app (a tracker-less fork of super-popular Maps.Me) is what you have in mind :)

I'd say that is closer to what Maps.Me / Organic Maps do than to Every Door. The latter has a huge focus on updating amenity attributes, which involves doing away with the interact…

Absolutely! I agree with another user that you should switch to Organic Maps, but if you want to do more mapping, Every Door helps with that. It uses iD editor presets, so you can …

There is an open source fork of maps.me maintained by original authors, who are not russian: https://organicmaps.app/

Try Organic Maps (fork of maps.me): https://organicmaps.app/ It of course lacks many features of OsmAnd, but you can't have both. UI issues of OsmAnd come from its features.

The story of mapping is different for every corner of the world. E.g. in the blog post there's a pic where we mapped the city approximately due to absence of satellite imagery. In …

There are few editors for iOS, but all quite good. Try Every Door ( https://apps.apple.com/app/every-door/id1621945342 ) and Go Map ( https://apps.apple.com/app/id592990211 ).

But it did happen. A few years ago we (as in estonian + russian communitites) helped import building outlines and most roads to OSM: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/impor…

Hi, we at Maps.Me do this for Brandify: we've recently helped them import 4k of Walmart stores across the US, and next week there will be a few hundred fitness centers. While impor…

I know of that website, it is made by a fellow OSMer, and while it's perfect for creating and editing GeoJSON, it lacks in simplicity of sharing maps (well, it depends on an extern…

You forgot mono-winforms. And most users do forget it and then complain to a developer that the software does not work.

Click the "Export" button, there will be a list. Basically, almost all of those: https://github.com/MapBBCode/share.mapbbcode.org/tree/master... (except html, iframe, nmea).
