About Stephn_R

Stephen Rodriguez is a recent graduate of Iona College. At Iona College, Stephen earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Computer Science with a minor in Information System. During his time at Iona, he remained very active in the community as president of the Computer Science Club and working as an onsite IT Specialist. During his summers, he would further his career experience by working as a Software Developer for companies like IBM and Pepsico Beverages.

After graduating, Stephen Rodriguez began his new position as a UI/UX Developer for Gartner in Stamford Connecticut at their Global Headquarters. Recently, he has been awarded with the new position of Software Developer within the new Rotational Program at Gartner.

His true passion exists in his skills as a researcher. As such, he has been published by Inderscience for his work on determining consumer relationships with relation to cell phone churn rates. In addition, he has visited the University of Kentucky to present his CS Thesis alongside his research team at NCUR (National Conference of Undergraduate Research). As technical lead, his focus was on leading and analyzing the development of the new Lexical and Sublexical Analysis Calculator for Children's Literature.

Stephen has a deep passion for the world of Open Source Development. During his term at Iona, he has competed in over 8+ programming competitions at places such as NYU, Rutgers, Yale, and the University of Michigan. Since then, he has continued to help others in becoming better developers by participating in events throughout the year and offering his code to the public for free. Beyond this, he has many personal goals for his career and life, although numerous, it has becomes his drive to become an inspiring and innovative developer.
