On imagination and the "hero" factor

Thanks for the honest pushback. The comparison to low-quality YouTube "kids content" is a fair warning, but my intent with Lyra.kids is the exact opposite.

Instead of passive consumption (the YouTube problem), I wanted to create a tool for active participation. The most magical moments with my daughters happen when they say, "Wait, what if I was the scientist in this story?"

This tool allows us to bridge that gap on the fly. It's a supplement to—not a replacement for—traditional reading. It’s about those 10 minutes where the child wants to see their own ideas come to life. I’m building this to capture those sparks of creativity that traditional books can’t always adapt to in real-time.

As a father, I’m fully aligned on maximizing real-world time. As a dev, I’m just trying to give them a digital "crayons and paper" to rewrite their own myths.
