    If I were them, I would re-focus it as a LOB app platform. That's where it really shines. As for WPF, it serves no purpose whatsoever.

    Wrong. Silverlight is typically used to write LOB apps. You know, desktop apps. So long as that use case is still supported Silverlight developers will be happy.
